The Cleveland Institute for Transformative Education (CITE) was founded on the idea that the way we teach and learn should always evolve, from our self-concept to our world view. Transformative learning is facilitated through careful action, deliberate reflection, critical dialogue, and collaboration.
 

The current educational environment of constant assessment and low teacher morale promotes a just-make-it-through-the-day mindset that discourages the love of and passion for teaching. CITE believes that transformative education – an ongoing process that involves teachers, students, administrators, and parents working together to respond to the challenges of a rapidly changing world – can positively influence learner achievement and foster a spirit of collaboration and innovation in today’s learning environments.
