Attention art teachers, teacher-artists, graphic artists (all types). The non-profit, CITE is hosting an art contest and selected winners will appear in the The CITE Quarterly, CITE website (www.thecite.org), and social media pages.
All individuals who submit a piece that meets the minimum criteria will receive a free yearly membership to CITE (worth $49) and one winner will be chosen to receive a $100 gift card. The contest is run four times a year for each issues of the The CITE Quarterly.
Deadline for submissions are
January 15; April 15; July 15; October 15
We are accepting digital files of graphics/photos/illustrations on the following topics;
Criteria for judging.
- Followed directions, correct filetype, high-resolution, release form, contact information
- Craftsmanship (Whatever medium or style used, it is done at a high level of competence)
- Visual Appeal (appropriate for a magazine for k-12 educators)
- Connection to topic
Art must be owned by the individual making the submission. This is not a student art contest and entrants must be at least 18 years of age. We want to highlight the work for of teachers who teach art and design and non-art teachers who are artists at heart. Artists may submit up to 5 entries each contest cycle.
By submitting a file you give CITE ownership and permission to reproduce that image in its publication and website and social media pages. You must submit a signed release from to be entered into the contest. Click here to download the release form.

The CITE Quarterly is a magazine for educators interested in learning about innovative teaching and learning practices from other teachers in the field.
About CITE: The Cleveland Institute for Transformative Education (CITE) was founded by educators, for educators to support and share innovative teaching and learning experiences that encourage others to reflect upon and transform their own practice.
